On a lined piece of paper, write the alphabet with corresponding number values.
Find out how much different words are worth. For example, TOCK is equal to 49 because T=20 , O=15 , C=3 , and K=11 all adding up to 49.
(I decided to see how many points Milo would be–and it turned out to be the exactly the same as Tock!)
In these activities, the student uses a simple alphabet code with numbers (like a=1, b=2, c=3, d=4, etc.) to find a secret message about the topic.
